Wordans Custom T-Shirt Website Review

As a custom t-shirt fan I like to take a look from time to time at other t-shirt sites. Wordans custom t-shirt site is a fantastic site run by some really cool people in Montreal, Quebec. Here is my review of the Wordans custom t-shirt website.

Site Name: Wordans www.wordans.com

Service Offering: Wordans provides a custom t-shirt design site, custom printing on American Apparel clothing (and others), and delivery for Canadian, US, EU and Rest of World users from its base in Montreal, Canada. Ease of contact is enhanced by prominent email and telephone information. A returns policy is also in place.

Custom Designs: The Wordans site has its own custom t-shirt design tool which offers a great array of cool designs submitted by designers from around the world (from New Zealand to South Africa!). You can create your own custom t-shirt using these high quality designs or, as a registered user, you can also upload your own.

Ease of Use: The site flows easily to the point of sale without confusing the user. Payment methods are Paypal, Credit Card, Money Order and also Cash at their bricks & mortar store.

Regions: Shipping is free to Canada and US but charges are not clear outside of these countries.

Pricing: Prices vary by type of shirt and the selected design but all are very competitive for custom t-shirts.

Innovation: this site is up there with the best custom t-shirt sites.

Recommendation: Highly recommended. A great site with some fantastic custom t-shirt designs.

Thank you very much for this information. I had noticed this on Friday, and resolved the issue with the customer. We had indeed changed our garments, and the customer was misinformed. We tried to remedy the situation with a reimbursement or a replacement shirt before the blog post, but she wouldn’t have any of it. These things happen I guess!

Wow went and read elaines blog interesting, although it is impossible to guarentee 48 hour delivery unless you put it in the mail as it is sold and have the shirts pre done. 96 is more feasable, i am not a wordans employee but, your image needs time to print and cordinate with the production staff, personally i think even 5 days i pushing it, i would go with 10 business days, which is fair, most times it will arrive before that and you always make the customer estatic when you do it before you say you will. there is a big problem with wordans and understanding what dpi is, which can seriously effect t shirts. i could go on actually but :P i really do not want to get in trouble with wordans, they owe me 14 bucks so far!

Wordans has been terrible with me so far.

I ordered two T-Shirts late November, and they were seperate orders sent to two different locations. (Yukon and Texas)

About 2 weeks in according to their web site they still were not shipped so I sent them an email. After 4 days and no responses, I sent them another email. (Again waited a few days no response. P.S. My email works fine, no firewall blocking any incoming emails.)

So by now I decide to call them and my answer was, sorry they haven't been printed yet. I was surprised and asked why it was taking so long, apparently that machine broke and my order will be ready on Tuesday-Friday.(First off, why couldn't they respond to my emails or notify there customer about this problem?)

Well guess what next Monday roles around still nothing! (It was shipped on Tuesday though.)

So even the orders were places late November it's now December 22nd and the one T-Shirt going to Texas I know won't arrive in time for Christmas, but wait there is more!

On Christmas Eve I get my order, but it included both orders! (Despite paying extra tax and shipped on one of them going to Texas.)

I called today the 28th and my initial response after explaining the situation was "What do you want us to do about it?" I was suggested fixing the order by sending out the order to the proper location after all the hassle I've been through and also considering I'm currently in the Yukon and it will take about 3 weeks for shipping to Texas. The person says that basically won't happen, but they aren't even the person to talk to...(So why was I explaining my problem to them?)

I'm currently waiting on them to call me back, but this has been one huge hassle and I would recommend trying another company. A month wait for a screwed up order is no fun. Heck I wouldn't even have cared as much if they could communicate properly.

P.S. I also called to notify them, they I thought they may have screwed up my order in advance, as both orders had the same tracking number, and guess what I was right.

I'm thrilled to find somewhere to rant about Wordans, there isn't much for reviews out there. Too bad or I wouldn't have ordered from them.
They have a pretty slick looking site, but that's where the quality ends. I ordered 31 shirts from them on one order and paid for them right away, THREE MONTHS later I received them. And all I got was a "thank you for your patience" from Wordans. I tried to get more of a description or some sort of advice from them on what the different models of shirts look like, but they didn't give me any help and as a result my women's shirts were all a different size than expected. The colour of the shirts on their site are different than the real colour. Print quality was quite good, but I had to tell them a hundred times exactly what size dimensions of the logos I wanted. And to top it all off, some of the shirts have holes in them straight out of the box. They will never get my business again. Customer service sucks too; long delays between emails and they don't confirm anything

I just placed an order with Wordans on Tuesday July 20th and received my t-shirts on Thursday July 22nd. I experienced nothing but amazing customer service throughout the whole process.

At less than $10/shirt, I found the prices to be the most competitive and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the t-shirts and the prints. I was consulted throughout the whole process and informed when my package was shipped (was also given the tracking number to estimate it's arrival).

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Wordans and I thought it was important to share it with you considering some of the negative reviews posted here.

I will DEFINITELY order from Wordans again. Thanks to Arnaud for making my experience with Wordans so positive.

Oh boy, do I have a few things to say about Wordans! I ordered from Wordans twice. The first time was a charm. I work close by so I was able to pick up my shirt about a week after the order was placed. The guys there were super friendly and gave me everything I needed. The quality of the printing was better than I expected too.

Now, I ordered another one and it's been about 5 weeks now. I had to check my order status in case they forgot about it. Apparently they ran out of stock. They could have notified me and I would have ordered a shirt to print it on or anything. Note that it's not in bulk... It's one tank top! When I asked about it, it took days to reply and they said

"... Be sure we are doing our best to complete your order...." aka "Can't make changes. Tough luck"

From a 1 week order to a 5 weeks + order, I'm very disappointed with Wordans. I don't know what happened since my first order went so great.

I have never been so frustrated and disappointed with a company. Is this a joke. I ordered a t-shirt for a birthday WELL in advance and arranged to have it picked up at one of the pick-up offices in Vancouver to be sure I would get it gifted in time. After 3 follow up calls, lame excuses and rude customer service it has yet to be received, the birthday is past and they say "next week", like U haven't heard that already!!?? And I can;t even cancel the order now that I have missed the birthday. Unacceptable! I strongly advise anyone to go somewhere else, this has been nothing but a big hassle and waste of money.

On December 7th I placed an order for a pair of sweatpants. It's January 6th and I have not received them. I emailed and never got a response. The first time I called, I left a message and was never called back. The second time I called, they tried to give me a Wordans coupon if I wanted to cancel my order. I asked if I'd ever receive my order and they said yes...this was 2 weeks ago. I called today and left another message. I have yet to hear from them. I will never shop at Wordans again.

So I placed an order a week ago through this site as they are the only ones that carry a racer back tank top like I wanted. I am a competitor in fitness and my sponsor wanted me to get his logo on my shirts. Basically they let me know about three days after that one of the shirts in pink will not be order-able as there was a stock issue. They issued a credit and I reordered in a different color.

This morning they call me and said there has been an issue with the racer back tanks altogether and that they come out not looking great. Not only did this waste a week that I needed the shirts already but I have to wait for another credit in order to re order a type of shirt that I don't even want as they no longer offer racer backs. They do not issue any refunds just credits so basically I wasted $80 on product I don't even want and can't use. I'm so pissed as this was THEIR mistake not mine. I don't' get why that constitutes me getting a credit if it's their fault. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM, you'll regret it!!!

1) only some products are mentioned ( in red on the products) 24h or 48h.
2) Our lead time is mentioned clearly before anybody inputs a credit card information.

5) We verify all suspicious transaction through and automated system that is verfied on a daily basis by our fraud specialist. This to protect people from Credit card frauds.

We put a lot of effort in giving the best service possible and over 50000 consumer there is always some people that will complain. Our activity is particular since it is to customize garment on demand.


We are Human and I can say honnestly that mistakes happens but considering the volume we make it is marginal.

I would like to ask Wordans why they don't offer a review section on their website? And why does the BBB rate your company with an "F" (the lowest possible rating). The customer service and quality of product I received from Wordans was terrible. I'm not sure if you were trying to say that you wouldn't charge a credit card until an order was completed, but I was charged immediately for my order of over $600 and didn't receive it until three months later. In my opinion Wordans is an online scam

Wordans is THE worst comapny to ever deal with.
If you do place an order:
a) DO NOT expect it on time
b) DO NOT expect the order to be right
c) and certainly DO NOT expect any help out of these people.
They lost my order, they lost my payment, I had to call them every few days to see where my order was,
they promised express shipping...HAH what a joke that was.

These people are incompetant, disorganized and cannot run a business.

Do NOT order here - terrible company. I ordered for an event and they were unable to deliver in the timeframe I asked. I wanted to cancel the order they wouldn't let me - even though the shirts hadn't been printed yet! They still charged me. Hugely disappointing experience all around - Customer Service was the worst of all - couldn't have been less helpful. For the sum of $300 they lost all of my future business and that of anyone I know. Hope it was worth it.

The worst customer service I have EVER experienced. Honestly, it is awful and I still have not received my order that I have paid for. I doubt I will ever receive it since they have said it is "completely impossible" to ship it to the correct address (they shipped it to themselves!). So guess I'm out money and time. Unbelievable really. I'm kind of shocked still.

I chose to order from Wordans based on their priority rush delivery (1-2 business days) and yet 4 business days later and my tshirts had not arrived. To make matters worse, they did not call me to explain the delay - I had to call them repeatedly and find out the status of my order. It got to the point where our event came and went, and we were all tshirt-less.

After all this, Wordans tells me they can only refund my money via Paypal and not Visa. They had initially charged my Visa, why can't they refund back on to it? Eventually I had to go through my credit card company and file a formal complaint. 4 weeks later and Visa finally refunded my money, but I have yet to hear back from Wordans!

All in all, a horrible experience with a horrible company that has horrible customer service. Stay away!

I went to the address listed for Wordans in Kingston, Ontario and discovered it is likely just a mail box at the mail box outlet there. Wordans has no storefront at that address.

I was debating buying some tshirts from this company, but after reading all the comments I will not be doing business with them.

Just the fact that the reply from a representative in this comments section admitted no fault of the companies and was misspelled speaks volumes of their lack of customer service and attention to detail.

Very disappointing.
